ESKIA is the lo-fi, mutated twin brother of Metal Blade Records artist INTENSUS. Both are "free improv extreme metal" solo projects created by multi-instrumentalist Eli Litwin.

"From Below" is an exercise in lo-fi, home-recorded black metal. Eli began the recording process by improvising all the drum tracks in his basement. Then, almost as spontaneously, he wrote and improvised guitar & bass tracks to fit the drums, recording onto his laptop as he went. Lastly, he improvised vocals over the completed music.
